SmartTrans e-PoD® is a real-time mobile data solution designed to properly manage the delivery function.
It provides real-time information of deliveries, pick-ups, service delivery, order entry or proof of presence.
How Does It Work?
The delivery plan for each vehicle/driver is downloaded to the Smart Phone, either a standard consumer device or an industrial ruggedised device, when the unit is first activated for the day.
At each delivery point , the goods (or the service details) to be delivered are itemised on the phone. On completion, a signature from the customer can be captured electronically on the device. On returning to the vehicle, the phone is replaced in the vehicle cradle and the driver is presented with the next delivery address.
- The data relating to the delivery will be uploaded promptly to your computer system (subject to cellular coverage), providing proof of delivery and allowing the job to be invoiced straight away
- Paperwork is all but eliminated and data is only entered once, immediately
- A Proof of Delivery sheet can be produced to prove delivery of goods or service
